Easy Drawings of Your Lie in April Easy Drawings
Hello hello! (^O^)/
Welcome and greetings to another drawing tutorial on #AAMS and I am Takano Miyo, the great experimenter and the great nurse here to give you another great tutorial, however this time the tutorial is on how to draw Kaori from Your Lie in April (四月は君の嘘)
Step One:
Focusing on an image of your choice of Kaori, look at her pose and also look at where her eyes and mouth and where the hair falls onto her face and make quick sketches and outlines. This doesn't need to be neat!
Step Two:
Using a different colour (if you want to) add some of her facial features, this doesn't have to be neat either but has to be enough so you can use it as something to get your proportions right when drawing over the top.
Step Three:
Now do the same but for whatever she is wearing in the picture. In my case I put her tie on and put out the small-ish details of her top and jacket.
Step Four:
Now it's time to start drawing over. With the app I use to draw I make the proportions layer lighter so then I can see the black that I am drawing on top nice and boldly. So anyway I start off by doing the hair and face first, since the top of her head is covered by the fringe I start of with that. (^○^)
Step Five:
I tend to start off with the more complex things over anything and this is mainly because it's easier to do everything else afterwards. In Kaori's case her hair was a lot more complex and 'flowy' and then I added her body briefly just so I knew where the hair met and also where the hair was around her.
Step Six:
Then adding her facial features was cry quite easily, when you have your proportions it is very straightforward so you can go ahead and just put that in and boom, you have eyes, nose and a mouth. o(^▽^)o
Step Seven:
Finish off using the proportions by doing the tie and the clothing and this will mean that you do not need to use the proportions so go ahead and get rid of those and look at your masterpiece without them!
Voila! \(^o^)/
Step Eight:
Go ahead and add some shading and because I'm super duper lazy o decided to do minimum shading. Kaori had a lot more shading and colours to her and I thought being a simple tutorial, I wouldn't add as much. Anyway, the end product will still look as good! Shading in the head, face and around the neck is needed and if there are creases on the clothing then the shading would be needed there too.
Step Nine:
Add the colour of the hair, I always do this first because then you have an idea what everything else will be like. Personally for Kaori I found it really hard to get a perfect hair colour match. But anyway, this is the colour I chose out of the endless colours I wanted to choose!
(。-_-。)
Endless Colours:
Step Ten:
Okay seriously this was also another hard colour choice and by the end I had about ten different skin colours and some were too dark, too pale, too pink or too orange and it was too much. I stuck with this first skin colour only because at the time it looked okay, but doing more drawing I realised how pale she looked so later on you'll see a quick subtle colour change to make her skin a little more pink. But seriously, choose a good skin colour guys and don't give up looking for the perfect one no matter how difficult it is. (≧∇≦)
Step Eleven:
Colour in the rest of her and before you submit the picture anywhere make sure for any little places you haven't coloured in yet or any places which have tiny errors because like me, you're probably worried one day someone is going to notice. As in the picture above I realised I hadn't coloured in some parts and the skin colour was too pale so here is the end product!
Much better if I do say so myself!
(^_−)−☆
Now I mean, if you REALLY wanted to, add a funky background. I mean I only do this for the fun but seriously having a background is better than a blank background. So here is Kaori with a arty background. Woo!
Anyway!
That's all from me today I hope you enjoyed this very nice tutorial by me and stay tuned to the greatest scientists I have ever known, for more at #AAMS. Thanks a lot and hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
